Need to share my experience about KAIROSPACE Co., Ltd. company (here is a link to their site) and especially their CTO Dr. Nikolay Vedenkin. Sadly, this company act extremely improper, made me loose lot of time and money.
Background
I am Russian, at 2024 left Russia because of events we all know. I am ex-IT specialist, but aerospace industry always was my passion, and since previous year I tried to find a role there. Because of economical crisis, it’s hard process, so I sent my CV not only to recruiters but also to my contacts from Russian aerospace (to those who left Russia same as I did).
First contact with KairoSpace
At October 31, 2025, Dr. Vedenkin wrote to me. He said that he got my CV from one very authoritative person, and offered to join KairoSpace as astrodynamics and astronavigation specialist in their planned long-range missions. Of course, I agreed! I wanted to join space for years, but I have no aerospace education and my knowledge of astrodynamics is a result of my very self-education and years of hard work. That was my chance!
CTO stalling for time
Practice shown that I was very wrong!
After first contact, whole month there was no answers from Vedenkin. I already thought that they just don’t need my services, so tried to focus on other options. Just in case, at Nov. 24 I wrote to Vedenkin about cooperation, and, suddenly, he said that company is truly interested in me and explained that hiring process in Korean companies is not super fast!
Stalling time longer!
November passed, December came. At December I had to leave Thailand, where I am living now, and… On return back to Thai I faced visa troubles. That was December 16. I had to left Thai and at this moment I wrote Vedenkin again, just to understand, should I keep in mind offer from KairoSpace or no. Suddenly, he confirmed interest and even appoint an interview!
At December 19 I had an interview with KairoSpace system engineer Anton. That was pretty interesting and nice interaction. In the end Anton said that he see no technical misunderstandings from my side and I should wait for an offer. I waited till Christmas, then till New Year (spending my money for hotel abroad, for pre-payment for education in Thai university, for food), then after New Year. Vedenkin and KairoSpace answered at January 12, said that I should wait till January 23 for second interview, now with QM!
Change of the role
I returned to Thai at January 15, and wrote Vedenkin about this. Suddenly he answered fast, and said that now my role will be changed — as a programmer I will lead a process of design of GPS navigation module KairoSpace planned to produce. He gave me a task to design a math and an «ideology» (as he named it) of this module, and said that I have 7 days for this.
I finished the task in 4 days (till January 19), Vedenkin said that I need to provide result in English, not in Russian (he did not said this from the beginnig). I translated the paper same day. Vedenkin said that he will check the results, and than requested an improvement of «ideology».
I already had not too much options because of lack of money, so I focused on the task and improved it as possible. Each answer from Vedenkin required days and weeks of waiting. The «check procedure» stalled till January 28. In the end he accepted my corrections and disappeared till February 6.
Rising pressure
At February 10 authorities in my university said that I must pay second part of payment fee till the end of the month! I wrote to Vedenkin again and explain that situation is critical… And here he answered that he want to discuss everything with me personally because «he don’t trust me»! And that I should fly to Bangkok to meet him!
So, he said to me wait in Chiang Mai. I wait till February 18, than till February 23… And it looked like I at last got the positive answer! Nickolay contact me, confirmed my salary requirements, and said that he will send to me the list of tasks (SoW) and NDA!..
Statement of Work and Work without Statement
I told him that now I will need support from company, in form of pre-payment or a loan, because I urgently need to pay for my university and rented apartment. And Vedenkin even said that they in KairoSpace will look how to solve this!
In the end at March 3 (!!!) he sent to me a «SoW»! But… That was a ridiculous paper definitely made by AI, with absolutely weird requirements and lot of mistakes! I saved a copy (I always saving such documents), so you can look at it in. Here is the link to the file.
Note the typical AI glitches — formatting, fixation on details, broken numeration of chapters, zero technical understanding of problem, broken logic of delivery (look to the table). Especially nice looking the salary at section 12.1. It’s be even funny, if it’d not be so boorish!
Notice also, that in this SoW my role already was not about design GPS navigation algorithms — I obliged to model and develop sort of signal processing algorithms for hardware GNSS chip!
You may say that I’m stupid. Possibly, yes. But I really wanted to space! I even was ready to sign with KairoSpace this ridiculous SoW — because, following the IT habit, knew that SoW actually doesn’t mean much. And I, verbally, even agreed to work! Both me and Vedenkin were happy, and KairoSpace financial manager even requested from me my papers and my bank details.
But then Nickolay said, that I must start to work, while the contract we will sign later.
Impossible!
That was truly an alarm bell for me. Crazy waiting and ridiculos SoW may be acceptable, but work without contract — impossible! I very carefully said that it’d be OK, if (!) KairoSpace provide for me contacts with team, access to repositories and MATLAB environment, prepare a e-sign for a SoW, etc. Nickolay confirmed that he definitely will do this «right tomorrow».
Expectedly, at March 7, Saturday he didn’t answer. That was true alarm for me, so I decided not to interact with KairoSpace until they wouldn’t accept my terms — fixes in SoW, start of work only with contract and pre-payment of $3000 (in any way, even as a loan). Here is the screenshot of the final conversation.
So, you see everything yourself. As expected, no answers from KairoSpace being received since that time.
KairoSpace assessment
I am still shocked, what it was? Why the f*ck KairoSpace and Vedenkin kept me hope for f*cking 5 months??? Like, if I am not match their requirements (by knowledge, by security reasons) — why to keep me tied to them for months? If they don’t need new employee — why the f*ck they answered me (why the f*ck Vedenkin even called me?!)
I have no answers to this.
Conclusion
You saw everything yourself, colleagues. I an not call to anything, but just sharing my experience. With KairoSpace it is very negative. From my experience, I strongly advise you against any interaction with Nikolay Vedenkin and KAIROSPACE Co., Ltd. (here is again link to their site to warn you)

Additional request. I am in urgent need for money now, so, if anyone of you need a programmer with astrodynamics knowledge and with experience in Unity, C++ and Python — I am ready for work!
